The Prophet Amos being moved by the Holy Spirit declared that we as saints would live to see the day when there shall be a great famine of hearing His words, the Holy Scriptures. (Amos 8:11) During this famine many shall seek to know the Lord and we desire to participate in that nourishing of the souls who come forth out of Mystery Babylon.
The situation that the world is facing today is the great number of false teachers, false doctrines, seducing spirits, hypocrisy and rebellion by those who "claim" our Lord Jesus Christ. William Tyndale a Christian martyr faced a similiar period of time and it speaks to the point of our current situation. This is what he had to say (revised by Pastor Jackson so that the use of the very Old English may be understood in our common speech today):
"As the faithful Christian martyr William Tyndale thought to himself no other way to help the people than if the Holy Scriptures were turned into the common speech, that the poor and unlearned might read and see the simple plain Word of God. He perceived that it was not possible to establish the people in any truth, except the Scriptures were so plainly laid before their eyes in their everyday speech, that they might see the meaning of the Scriptures. For else, any truth that should be taught and understood, the enemies of the truth would quench it with deceptive teachings and traditions of their own making, having no foundation in the Scriptures. Juggling with the scriptures, teaching it in such a fashion that made it impossible to understand the true meaning. Master Tyndale considered this only, or most chiefly, to be the cause of all mischief in the Body of Christ, that the understanding of the Scriptures of God were hidden from the people's eyes."
The purpose of the audio recordings being brought forth through audiocassette (and audio CD in the near future) is to create an environment where the hearer can be taught the Word of God without it being subjected to denominational creeds and traditions of men that make void the Word of God. Because Bethel Ministries Inc. is supported by freewill offerings only (NO TITHES) Pastor Jackson is free to teach the Word as it is without fear of losing support for existence.
Bethel Ministries Inc. was started and funded by Pastor Jackson. It is a fact that NOT one penny was requested or received from anyone in the founding of Bethel Ministries Inc. This was done so that the enemies of Christ and His work would not be emboldened. The required donation of the various recorded teachings offered through BMI (past, present, future) are set as such so as to be able to replenish the physical materials so that BMI can continue to distribute the word of God via audio media. See "WRITING MATERIAL" for more details. There are many wolves in sheep's clothing out in the world that are devouring the peoples' provisions bringing forth destitution and misery.
The Apostle Peter warned us of men and women (using Christ name) who through covetousness shall they with sweet, godly sounding words make merchandise of us. 2 PETER 2:1-3 Therefore we are all to be on guard spiritually for this abuse and iniquity. Pastor Jackson does not seek to be praised, but to set himself and this ministry he is a steward of apart from ministries who seek after their almighty god, money.
Paul would declare that a servant of the Lord who preaches the gospel has the right to live of the gospel as in the Lord. Pastor Jackson has CHOSEN to NOT exercise this right LIMITING skeptical minds of BMI's mission and intentions. A minister who is actually teaching the Holy Scriptures and nourishing an assembly of saints should not be condemned for accepting or expecting some temporal relief for his LABOR. 1 Corinthian 9:1-15
